Based on EDT bookings from 2023 to 2026, these four itineraries consistently top the list for value, coverage, and guest satisfaction.
EDT’s most-requested itinerary. Three days in Cairo covering the Giza Pyramids, the GEM, Saqqara, and the Citadel, then a direct flight to Luxor for a 4-night private Nile cruise ending in Aswan. The best value for first-time visitors who want the complete Egypt experience. Starting from $1,400 per person, double occupancy.
The full sweep of Egypt in eight days: fly to Aswan from Cairo, cruise the Nile north to Luxor, ride the overnight sleeper train back to Cairo, then day-trip to Alexandria. A genuine adventure combining ancient sites with real Egyptian travel. Starting from $1,100 per person.
EDT’s signature short break. The Giza Pyramids and Sphinx on day one, Saqqara and Memphis on day two, the Grand Egyptian Museum on day three, and Islamic Cairo on day four. A complete Cairo experience for travelers with limited time. Starting from $340 per person.
For travelers with ten days available: three days in Cairo, a 4-night Nile cruise, two days in Luxor and Aswan, then a final day in Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast. Egypt’s entire story, from the Pyramids to the Great Library, in one journey. Starting from $1,750 per person.
Attarious and his team handled everything perfectly. Private guide, transfers, and deep Egyptologist knowledge. Our 7-day itinerary was flawless from start to finish.
The 10-day Nile cruise itinerary was everything we dreamed of. No group buses, just us and our expert guide discovering the temples.
I have traveled extensively but Egypt with EDT was a completely different level. Every site brought to life by our Egyptologist guide.
Three days in Cairo then the Nile cruise: absolutely magnificent. EDT handled every detail and made it truly special for our whole family.
Most first-time visitors are happy with 7 to 10 days, enough for Cairo, a Nile cruise, and Luxor. If you want to add Alexandria, the Western Desert, or Sinai, plan for 10 to 14 days. EDT builds private itineraries for any duration from 2 to 14 days.
The 7-day Cairo and Nile Cruise itinerary is EDT’s most-requested option for first-time visitors. You get three days in Cairo covering the Pyramids, GEM, Saqqara, and the Citadel, then fly to Luxor for a 4-night private Nile cruise ending in Aswan. Every stop is private with your Egyptologist guide.
Yes, every EDT itinerary is a starting point, not a fixed schedule. You can add or remove days, swap sites, choose your hotel tier, and adjust the pace. WhatsApp Attarious directly to build your exact plan. Most customization requests get confirmed within a few hours.
October through April offers the most comfortable temperatures for travel in Egypt. Winter days in Cairo sit around 20 degrees Celsius, and the Nile Valley is cool enough for full-day temple visits. Summer from June to August is very hot in Upper Egypt but still manageable with early starts and private air-conditioned transport.
A Nile cruise is included in EDT’s 7-day and longer itineraries as the best way to travel between Luxor and Aswan. You can substitute the overnight sleeper train if you prefer. Itineraries under 7 days focus on Cairo and day trips and do not include a cruise.
Every EDT itinerary includes a licensed Egyptologist guide, private air-conditioned transport, all site entry tickets listed in the itinerary, and hotel pickup and drop-off. International flights and Egypt visa are not included. Final pricing depends on travel season, group size, and hotel tier. WhatsApp for an exact quote.
