8 Days Egypt Holiday package to Cairo with Luxor and Aswan

Your Egypt Day Tours representative meets you at Cairo airport with a name sign and helps you through immigration and customs, then takes you by private air-conditioned car to your hotel. On the way they run through the plan for your trip and answer any questions, and at the hotel they help you check in. Overnight in Cairo. Meals: none.

After breakfast you meet your guide for the Giza Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx and its Valley Temple, followed by a buffet lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon you tour the Grand Egyptian Museum near the Pyramids, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection, much of it on display for the first time, in galleries that take you through Egyptian history in order. In the evening you are taken to the station for the overnight sleeper train to Aswan, with dinner on board. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Breakfast is served on the train, which reaches Aswan at around 9:00. Your guide meets you for a tour of the High Dam, completed in the 1960s, followed by a buffet lunch. You then visit the Unfinished Obelisk, probably intended for Queen Hatshepsut, and take a short boat ride to Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis, before checking in to your hotel. After breakfast your guide drives you north to Kom Ombo, the double temple on a rise above the Nile, and Edfu, home to the best-preserved temple in Egypt, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. After a buffet lunch you continue to Luxor. Overnight in Luxor. Meals: breakfast and lunch.

After breakfast your guide takes you to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the few women to rule Egypt as pharaoh, with a stop at the Colossi of Memnon. After a buffet lunch you visit Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple on the East Bank, then board the overnight sleeper train to Cairo, with dinner on board. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Yes, Day 4 is a free day in Aswan and Day 7 is a free day in Cairo, so you can relax or explore on your own before your departure.

In Aswan you’ll visit the High Dam, the Unfinished Obelisk, and the temples at Edfu and Kom Ombo, and in Luxor you’ll tour both the East and West Banks, including the Valley of the Kings and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, all with your private guide.
