How many days do I need in Luxor?

Two full days cover the highlights: one on the East Bank for Karnak and Luxor Temple, and one on the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon.

Can I see the East and West Bank in one day?

Yes. Our full Luxor day tour covers both, though it is a long day. Most guests prefer to split them over two days.

Can I visit Luxor as a day trip from Cairo?

Yes. Our Luxor tour by flight from Cairo starts at $440 per person and returns the same evening. An overnight stay is more relaxed.

Is a hot air balloon ride in Luxor safe?

We work only with licensed, inspected balloon operators. Flights leave at dawn and land before the heat builds.

What is the best time to visit Luxor?

October to April, when days are around 20 to 28 °C. From May to September we start very early to avoid the heat.

Do I need a guide for the Valley of the Kings?

You can enter alone, but a guide explains the texts and paintings in each tomb, which most visitors would otherwise miss.
