100% refund 60+ days out · 50% refund 30 to 59 days · Free rebook inside 30 days · Free changes 30+ days out · 14-day refund processing
If you cancel your Egypt Day Tours trip 60 or more days before arrival, you receive a full refund. If you cancel 30 to 59 days before arrival, you receive 50%. Less than 30 days before arrival, we cannot refund but we try to rebook you to alternative dates at no charge.
That is the whole policy in three sentences. Most operators bury this in a 2,000-word terms document. We publish the numbers in plain English because cruise passengers and tour buyers should not have to email and wait two days to find out what cancellation actually means. If you are planning a trip, start here and message Attar with any policy question before you book.
| Days Before Arrival | Refund of Trip Price |
|---|---|
| 60 or more days | 100% refund (minus any non-refundable hotel deposits already paid to suppliers) |
| 30 to 59 days | 50% refund |
| Less than 30 days | No refund. We will try to rebook you to alternative dates at no charge instead. |
The “non-refundable hotel deposits” clause covers the rare case where a high-end Cairo or cruise vessel has already taken a non-recoverable deposit from us. If that applies to your booking, we tell you the exact amount before you sign off, and the refund math is published in your invoice.
Not every plan change is a cancellation. We treat the following as free changes when they are requested in good faith.
These situations are not your fault, so we do not treat them as cancellations.
If circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent the trip (natural disaster, pandemic, political unrest, or similar), we first try to rebook to a future date at no charge. If a rebook is not possible, we refund the trip price minus any non-refundable supplier payments already made on your behalf. Those supplier payments are itemized in your invoice and pre-disclosed before you sign off.
Two channels, both monitored daily:
inquire@egyptdaytours.com, including your booking reference and the reason for cancellationYou receive a written confirmation within 24 hours. Refunds are processed within 14 business days to your original payment method. The processing time is mostly bank-side; once we initiate the refund, it lands when your bank lets it land.
We strongly recommend buying travel insurance before your trip. It covers situations our cancellation policy cannot (personal illness, family emergency at home, lost luggage, missed connections), and it pays you, not us, so your interests are aligned.
Two providers we trust:
You book direct with the provider. We do not earn a commission, which is why we recommend openly. This is for your protection, not ours.
In most cases, no. The less-than-30-days window is firm because suppliers (hotels, cruise vessels, domestic airlines) have committed our payments and cannot return them at that point. We will always try to rebook you to alternative dates at no charge if you prefer.
Free if requested 30 or more days before arrival. Inside 30 days, it depends on supplier flexibility; in most cases we can move dates for an administrative fee or no fee at all. Message Attar on WhatsApp.
Both. Email inquire@egyptdaytours.com for a paper trail; WhatsApp for speed. Both produce written confirmation within 24 hours.
We initiate refunds within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation. Your bank then takes 3 to 10 business days to credit your card or account. Total: typically 17 to 24 business days end to end.
You receive a full refund plus reasonable inconvenience compensation. The compensation is typically a discount voucher on a future trip; if that does not work for you, we offer a cash equivalent.
The percentages are the same. The non-refundable supplier deposit amounts tend to be higher in high season because hotels and cruise vessels take larger pre-payments. We tell you the deposit number explicitly before you sign off.
