The Egypt Trip Planner is a free service from Egypt Day Tours that turns a one-line wishlist into a fully itemized, hotel-by-hotel, day-by-day Egypt itinerary, usually within 4 hours of you sending us your dates. Tell us how long your trip is and what you care about, and the planner builds the rest.
Egypt is over-toured but under-planned. Most travelers see the right sites at the wrong pace with the wrong guide. Their 8-day trip is 7 days of rush plus one day of recovery at a Hurghada beach hotel. The good itineraries get built quietly, by Egyptians who know which hotel actually has a Pyramid view, which Nile cruise vessel is worth the extra $200, and which afternoon at Karnak is worth skipping to make room for sunset at Philae.
Egypt Day Tours was founded in Alexandria in 2013 by Attar. The trip planner is how Attar and the team start every trip: a same-day quote, line-by-line itemized, no deposit until you sign off, and unlimited free revisions until the itinerary is right.
1. Send Attar your basics. Dates, group size, and a one-line wishlist on WhatsApp (or through the form above). You don’t need to brief us with a 5-page document. Tell us “We are two adults, 8 days in late October, we care about the Pyramids and a Nile cruise, our budget is around $4,000 per person.” That is enough to start.
2. Get a same-day custom quote. Within 4 hours during Alexandria working hours (and usually faster), we send you a fully itemized itinerary: day-by-day plan, two or three hotel options at each city so you can pick a category, named cruise vessel with cabin category, transparent line-by-line pricing in USD. You see exactly where every dollar goes.
3. Revise until it’s right. Free unlimited revisions. Most clients land on version 3 or 4: a swapped cruise vessel, an extra Luxor day, a Cairo hotel upgrade, a Petra add-on at the end. We do not bill for revision rounds. The revision phase is where most of the planner value lives. Take your time.
4. Confirm with a 25% deposit. Once you sign off, a 25% deposit secures the trip. Final balance is due 30 days before arrival. One week before you fly, we send a comprehensive pre-trip pack: arrival logistics, your guide’s name and photo, vehicle and driver details, hotel confirmations, a tipping guide, an Egyptian SIM-card plan, and an emergency-contact card.
Every itinerary the planner generates is built on the same standard inclusions, so the price you see on day one is the price you pay on departure day.
Pyramids, Sphinx, Grand Egyptian Museum, Khan el-Khalili, Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo, Citadel. Perfect for a long-weekend stopover from Europe or the GCC.
Cairo three days (Pyramids, GEM, Khan el-Khalili) plus Luxor two days (Karnak, Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut). Connects by domestic flight.
Cairo three days plus a 3-night Nile cruise Aswan to Luxor. The single most-booked Egypt itinerary; works for first-timers and returning travelers alike.
BEST SELLER. Same as 7-day but adds Abu Simbel by flight from Aswan. The most-recommended length for a first Egypt visit.
Cairo, Alexandria one day, then sleeper train south for a 4-night Nile cruise and Abu Simbel. Attar home-city programme.
Cairo plus 4-night Nile cruise, then beach break at Hurghada or El Gouna. Cultural intensity followed by Red Sea decompression.
Cairo, Alexandria, full Nile cruise, Abu Simbel, Sharm El Sheikh for diving and Sinai. The full Egypt picture, no rushed days.
Egypt 9-11 days plus Jordan 5-6 days: Petra, Wadi Rum, Dead Sea, Amman. The classic Middle East combination trip.
After 13 years of trip-building, here is what I tell every first-time client.
01. Send me a one-line wishlist, not a 5-page brief. The best opening message: “two adults, 8 days in October, Pyramids and a Nile cruise, budget around $4,000 each.”
02. Eight days is the sweet spot for a first Egypt visit. Cairo three days, a 3-night Nile cruise, and Abu Simbel without rushing.
03. Anchor on Cairo, cruise, or beach. Not all three. Pick the anchor, build the trip around it. Combining works at 12+ days.
04. Tell me hotel category, not specific hotels. “4-star with character” beats naming a specific property.
05. Decide on standard cruise vs dahabiya before we plan. Tell me which side you sit on and the rest builds itself.
06. Lock Abu Simbel as a yes or no on day one. By flight from Aswan adds about $250 per person.
07. For families, plan one fun thing per day alongside one historical site. Spaced with motion and play.
08. For honeymoons, ask for the rooms first. Mena House Oberoi pyramid-view, Sofitel Old Cataract, Old Winter Palace.
09. Build buffer days into Cairo, not Luxor. If your trip needs slack, put it in Cairo.
10. Start the planner now. The hardest part of planning Egypt is starting, so start.

Eight days is the sweet spot for a first Egypt visit (Cairo + cruise + Abu Simbel). Shorter trips work for stopovers. Longer trips (10-14 days) open up Alexandria, Sinai, the Red Sea, or a Petra combination.
October through April is the comfortable-weather window: 22-28 degrees Celsius in Cairo, cooler in Luxor and Aswan, no humidity.
Six to ten weeks ahead is ideal: enough lead time to secure premium hotel rooms and to book the right Nile cruise vessel.
Hotels with breakfast, all domestic flights or sleeper trains, full-board Nile cruise where applicable, private Egyptologist guide, all entrance fees including the Grand Egyptian Museum, private vehicle, all transfers, and 24/7 WhatsApp support.
Yes. Family itineraries are one of our specialties. The planner builds in one fun activity per day alongside one historical site.
Yes. Egypt main tourist circuit has run continuously through 2023-2026 with consistent safety.

I started Egypt Day Tours in 2013 because I was tired of seeing travelers leave Egypt with the same generic Pyramids photo. The Egypt I grew up with is more specific than that. The trip planner is how we share that specificity, one trip at a time, in five languages.
If you want a trip designed by someone who lives here, message me on WhatsApp. The first reply is mine.
