Your Egypt Day Tours representative meets you at Cairo airport with a name sign and helps you through immigration and customs, then takes you by private air-conditioned car to your hotel. On the way they run through the plan for your trip and answer any questions, and at the hotel they help you check in. Overnight in Cairo. Meals: none.

After breakfast your guide collects you from your hotel for the Giza Pyramids of Khufu (Cheops), Khafre (Chephren) and Menkaure (Mykerinus), then the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre. You continue to Saqqara for the Step Pyramid of Djoser, built in the 3rd Dynasty and considered the world’s first pyramid, and finish at Memphis, the first capital of ancient Egypt, where the colossal statue of Ramesses II lies. Optional in the evening: the Pyramids Sound and Light Show ($50 per person). Overnight in Cairo. Meals: breakfast.

After breakfast your guide collects you for a full day in Cairo, starting at the Grand Egyptian Museum near the Pyramids, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection, much of it on display for the first time, in galleries that take you through Egyptian history in order. In the afternoon you visit the Saladin Citadel and the alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali, then Old Cairo for the Hanging Church, the Church of Abu Serga and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Optional in the evening: a Nile dinner cruise with Egyptian folk shows ($55 per person). Overnight in Cairo. Meals: breakfast.

After breakfast your representative takes you to Cairo airport and helps you through immigration and customs for your flight home. Meals: breakfast.
