Seven days covering Cairo and the Nile Valley. After arriving in Cairo you visit the Giza Pyramids, then travel to Aswan to board a Nile cruise that sails to Luxor, visiting the temples along the way and the tombs and temples of Luxor’s East and West Banks. You return to Cairo on day six and depart on day seven. Airport transfers, the cruise with its guided visits, and an Egyptologist in Cairo are included, from $1,380.
Your Egypt Day Tours representative meets you at Cairo airport with a name sign and helps you through immigration and customs, then takes you by private air-conditioned car to your hotel. On the way they run through the plan for your trip and answer any questions, and at the hotel they help you check in. Overnight in Cairo. Meals: none.
After breakfast, at 8:00, you meet your private guide at the Giza Pyramids, the only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing. You stop at the panorama point for photos of all three, visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre, then tour the Grand Egyptian Museum near the Pyramids, home to the complete Tutankhamun collection, much of it on display for the first time, in galleries that take you through Egyptian history in order, followed by a drive along the Nile. Optional in the evening: the Pyramids Sound and Light Show ($50 per person). Overnight in Cairo. Meals: breakfast.
After an early check-out you fly to Aswan for a guided visit to the High Dam and Philae Temple, dedicated to Isis and rebuilt on Agilkia Island after the dam was built, then board your Nile cruise for lunch. Overnight on board. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
An optional early trip to Abu Simbel is available. The cruise then sails to Kom Ombo for the temple shared by Sobek and Haroeris, and on to Edfu for the Temple of Horus, before passing through the lock at Esna on the way to Luxor, with a galabeya party after dinner. Overnight on board. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
After breakfast your guide takes you to the West Bank for the Valley of the Kings, entering three royal tombs, and the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the few women to rule as pharaoh. On the East Bank you visit Karnak and Luxor Temple, with the obelisk of Ramesses II at its entrance, and finish at the Colossi of Memnon. Lunch is on board, with a free afternoon. Overnight on board. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.
After breakfast you disembark. If you wish, start the day with a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Valley of the Kings, the Valley of the Queens and the Tombs of the Nobles ($110 per person, about 45 minutes depending on the weather). Our representative then takes you to Luxor airport for the flight to Cairo and on to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo. Meals: breakfast.
After breakfast your representative takes you to Cairo airport and helps you through immigration and customs for your flight home. Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Egypt Day Tours do not require a cancellation fee for tours or excursions canceled for ‘force majeure’ reasons like volcanoes, earthquakes, or reasons that are Out of control. If the booking cancellation happens For personal or business reasons and Egypt Day Tours has already incurred the booking costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.
A 20% deposit confirms your booking (70% for groups of 20 travelers or more). You can pay the deposit by credit or debit card (MasterCard or Visa) through our secure online payment system, and you pay the balance in Egypt to your Egypt Day Tours representative when your tour starts.

All tours don’t include entrance fees to special archaeological sites, such as walking inside one of the pyramids and the Royal Mummies Hall at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization in Cairo or entering the Tomb of Tutankhamen at Valley of the Kings in Luxor are also available at extra cost.

Flights to and from Egypt and personal expenses aren’t included.
You’ll spend 3 nights aboard the cruise ship, sailing from Aswan to Luxor with stops at Kom Ombo and Edfu along the way, before disembarking in Luxor to fly back to Cairo.
Yes, both are available as optional add-ons. Abu Simbel can be added as an optional trip while you’re in Aswan, and a sunrise hot air balloon ride over Luxor’s west bank, around $110 per person, can be arranged for your morning in Luxor. Just let us know when you book.
This 7-day version adds an extra night in Cairo at the start and an extra day of touring in Luxor on the west bank, including the Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple, before heading back to Cairo. The core Nile cruise route between Aswan and Luxor is the same in both packages.
This is a fully private tour on land, your Egyptologist guide and vehicle are exclusively for you, while the cruise ship itself is shared with other guests. If you’d like to adjust any part of the land itinerary, just let us know when you book.
