In the evening our representative collects you from your hotel in Cairo by air-conditioned coach and takes you to Giza station for the first-class train to Luxor. Overnight on the train.

Your guide meets you at Luxor station with an Egypt Day Tours sign. You start at Karnak, an open-air complex of temples, chapels and pylons built from the Middle Kingdom to Ptolemaic times, whose Hypostyle Hall holds 134 giant columns up to 21 metres tall, then visit Luxor Temple, begun by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramesses II. On the West Bank you see the Valley of the Kings, the terraced Temple of Hatshepsut, whose reliefs record her trading expedition to the land of Punt, and the Colossi of Memnon, before returning to Luxor station for the first-class train back to Cairo.

You’ll be transferred by air-conditioned coach from your Cairo hotel to Giza train station in the evening, where you’ll board a first-class train overnight to Luxor.

Karnak Temple is a vast open-air complex of chapels, pylons and halls built up from the Middle Kingdom through the Ptolemaic period, including the famous Hypostyle Hall with its 134 towering columns. Luxor Temple was built by Amenhotep III and completed by Ramesses II.

You’ll visit the Valley of the Kings, home to 63 rock-cut royal tombs, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut with its dramatic three-level design, and the Colossi of Memnon, twin statues guarding Amenhotep III’s memorial temple.
