Traveling solo as a woman in the Middle East comes with real considerations. This tour is designed by women who have lived and worked in Egypt for years, and we build our itinerary around what actually makes sense for solo female travelers.
Cairo is the first stop, and we meet you at the airport. We do not leave you to figure out the city alone. Your guide is female and knows Cairo intimately. She takes you to the Pyramids, yes, but also to shops and cafes that women actually use, not just tourist shops. Khan el-Khalili bazaar is more enjoyable when you know which sections are safe, which vendors are trustworthy, and how to navigate the cultural dynamics. Our guide handles this. You simply experience it.
You take the Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan. On a boat, you are in a contained environment. The cruise includes all meals, which means you do not spend your days figuring out where to eat. You meet other travelers, which adds safety and companionship. The cabins are private and secure. The deck is social. This is actually easier than independent travel in a city, and it covers far more ground.
Your guide on the Nile is female or male depending on what you prefer. If you prefer a female guide for personal reasons, we arrange that. Some women prefer male guides because they have a deep knowledge of sites and less interest in the female travel experience. You decide. We accommodate.
We brief you on practical matters: how to dress and move through cities so you draw less attention, how to handle persistent vendors, which neighborhoods are comfortable for solo travelers, and which are not. This is not fear-based. This is practical. There are parts of Cairo where a solo woman draws attention. There are parts where you are simply invisible. Knowing the difference makes your trip better.
We also know that traveling solo as a woman is actually wonderful. You make your own decisions. You sit in cafes and watch people. You have conversations you would not have with a group. We protect that freedom while also making sure you are safe.
