After a traditional breakfast , you will start your journey to visit Pompay’s Pillar and explore the remains of the ancient temple of Alexandria, The Serapium was the largest and the most magnificent temple in ancient Alexandria, and it marked the time where ancient Egyptian religion and greek religion were combined together in one religion to unite all thee citizens.
Afterwards, you will move to the Shatby area and visit the small temple of Ras el Souda, which was dedicated to goddess Isis by a wounded Roman general.
12 – 1:30pm
Now it is time to experience lunch in a restaurant in Alexandria with a breathtaking view. You will go to the Greek Club overlooking the eastern harbor with the fishermen boats from one side, and Citadel of Qaitbay from the other. Enjoy a fine selection of assorted traditional dips as well as seafood lunch cooked in a traditional way.

1:30pm – 4:30pm
This will be time for your in depth visit to Alexandria Library. The New Library of Alexandria is located very close to the location of the original Royal Library of Alexandria. With the destruction of the old Library in Alexandria, the world lost a significant amount of knowledge. It has been a dream shared by various leaders to re-establish the Library of Alexandria. The New Library of Alexandria is also home to four art galleries for temporary exhibitions, fifteen permanent exhibitions, a planetarium and four different museums. After an early breakfast, you will move to King Mariout region by an air conditioned vehicle. Our first visit about Christian beliefs in Egypt would start with the Monastery of Mar Mina. This UNISCO world heritage site has a significant importance for the Coptic belief. On the way to the monastery, Your tour guide, an expert in theology, will take you through the different doctrines in Christianity and give you an introduction about the Coptic Orthodox Church.

You will visit the Monastery , witness the inner church and spend some time exploring the place as well as experiencing some of the products the monks community contribute to providing. Afterwards, you will go to the Jesuit center where you will spend a couple of hours meditating and admiring the serene and calmness the place offers. Traditional lunch will be served in the dining venue of the center.

2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Before leaving the King Mariout region, you will have the opportunity to visit Lake Mariout, there you have three hours and multiple options to do. You can go fishing in the lake, take a kayak or simply engage in walking around the lake and conversing with the fishermen. Around sunset, you will get to have some local bedouin tea with mint and some assorted delicacies. Later, you will return to your accomodation.

After breakfast, You will start with a visit to the Church of Saint Mark, which is believed to be on the site of the original church founded by St. Mark in AD 60. St. Mark is the author of the second Gospel and Coptic Christians believe he arrived in Alexandria around AD 60 and stayed for seven years. Therefore, this church is believed to be the first church built in Africa and the Middle East. After you finish exploring the church, you will take a stroll in the old streets of Manshia till you reach St. Catherine Catherdal. This Roman Catholic cathedral was built in 1856.

Today’s guide will start by giving you an introduction about the Arab conquest and how the religion came to Egypt , how the religions co-existed together. Your first visit will be to Abu El-Abbas mosque, which is the largest mosque in Alexandria. It was built in 1775 to commemorate the life of a holy
Andalusian Sheikh, buried in the site. This is reflected in the coloured facade , domes and Andalusian architecture style used. Beside the mosque, two other mosques were built to commemorate two of his disciples, Mosque of Alabasiri and Sidi Yacout. Visiting these mosques will provide you with an insight about the different Islamic architectural styles.
Afterwards, keep strolling in the old streets of the old parts of Alexandria, till you reach one of the most famous seafood restaurants in Alexandria, Kadoura. This restaurant has always been a pioneer in seafood cuisine in Alexandria.
After lunch , you will keep walking in the Manshiah district, which is called The Turkish district due to the huge Turkish influence the region has. There you will explore some ottoman monuments such as Turks Market, Wikalla and the historic complex of Shorbagy. The Complex consists of a mosque, shops and some commercial buildings distributed in two stories.

The Jewish community was one of the ancient and original settlers in Alexandria after Alexander the Great conquered Judea in 334 B.C. They have coexisted not only in Alexandria, but in other parts of Egypt as well. Today you will get a chance to visit Eliahou Halevi Synagogue. It is located in Navi Daniel street, This 150-year-old synagogue is the only active synagogue in Alexandria. It hosts treasures and objects of other synagogues that existed in Alexandria and are not available anymore.

The largest community that lived in Alexandria was the Greek community, and today we will visit some of the heritage of the Greek community. The air conditioned vehicle will transfer you from your accommodation to Mahatet el Raml, then you will go on foot until we reach the house of Kavavis. Kavavis was a world renowned Greek poet , who lived in Alexandria. His house has been turned into a museum, where you can watch his belongings, books as well as hear some poetry. Afterwards, you will visit the Cathedral of Evangelismos, or the Holy Cathedral Church of the Greek Orthodox. The cathedral was founded in 1847 by the Greek Orthodox Patriarch of Alexandria, Hierotheus II of Alexandria, and it was officially inaugurated a few years later in 1856.

Afterwards, you will have lunch in delices, one of the most famous restaurants and pastry shops in Alexandria. The restaurant has a huge history that dates back to being responsible for the catering of the wedding of King Farouk, the last monarch of Egypt. It offers a mix of Egyptian , Greek as well as International Cuisine.
After lunch, You will get to visit the Greek and Latin cemetery. This cemetery has a very unique style of graves and decorations that marked the identity of the foreign communities that settled in Alexandria.
