Tipping is not included in any of our packages and is left to the discretion of the travelers. Although not mandatory, it is of great importance to people who will take care of you while traveling.

Egypt Day Tours do not require a cancellation fee for tours or excursions canceled for ‘force majeure’ reasons like volcanoes, earthquakes, or reasons that are Out of control. If the booking cancellation happens For personal or business reasons and Egypt Day Tours has already incurred the booking costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.

• The whole amount will be charged if canceled less than 30 days before the check-in date.
• 50% of the whole amount will be charged if canceled 60 to 31 days before the check-in date.
• 15% of the whole amount will be charged if canceled 90 to 61 days before the check-in date.

All tours don’t include entrance fees to special archaeological sites, such as walking inside one of the pyramids and the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo or entering the Tomb of Tutankhamen at Valley of the Kings in Luxor are also available at extra cost.

The package includes: round-trip domestic flights (Sharm-Cairo-Sharm), airport transfers, professional Egyptologist guide throughout the day, entrance fees to the Pyramids, the Sphinx, Valley Temple, and the Egyptian Museum, breakfast and lunch, and complimentary bottled water and juice throughout the day. Travel insurance and personal purchases are additional.

Absolutely! This tour is specifically designed for cruise passengers. We coordinate with cruise schedules to ensure you return to the ship before departure. We recommend ships docking between 7:00 AM-8:00 PM for this tour. Notify us of your exact ship name and port departure time when booking to guarantee timing. If your ship departs earlier, ask about our express 4-hour option.

Wear light, breathable clothing—it’s hot in Cairo year-round. Bring sunscreen (SPF 50+), sunglasses, and a hat for sun protection. Comfortable walking shoes are essential—you’ll walk 15,000+ steps. A light cardigan or scarf is useful for air-conditioned museums. Bring a camera with extra batteries. A small backpack or shoulder bag for water bottles and souvenirs. Optional: hand-held fan for desert heat relief.

Yes! After lunch, you’ll have 30 minutes free for shopping near the Egyptian Museum. The area has souvenir shops, papyrus sellers, and traditional crafts. We recommend buying during this time rather than airport duty-free, as prices are better and selection is wider. Tell your guide if you want a longer shopping break—we can adjust the schedule. The museum gift shop also has quality items if you prefer shopping in a controlled environment.

We offer modified versions of this tour. For early departures (before 7:00 AM), ask about our Express Cairo Tour (4 hours), focusing on pyramids and Sphinx only. For late departures (after 8:00 PM), we can arrange an Extended Cairo Tour with added attractions or more museum time. Some variations may affect pricing. Contact us at least 48 hours before your cruise date to arrange alternative timing.

This tour involves significant walking—approximately 15,000-20,000 steps throughout the day. You’ll walk around pyramid bases, through museum galleries, and navigate uneven desert ground. The Sphinx area has stone pathways. However, moderate pace allows for frequent rest breaks. Those with mobility concerns should notify us in advance—we can arrange golf cart transportation at the Pyramids and prioritize ground-floor museum exhibits. This tour is generally suitable for ages 10-80 with normal fitness.
