Giftun Island
Giftun Island is the most famous island in the Red Sea, and the most important in terms of tourism and environmental activity, as it is the only island among the 39 islands permitted to offer marine activities. Giftun Island includes 14 of the most beautiful diving sites in Hurghada, in addition to its multiple natural resources, starting with fine sand and beautiful beaches suitable for diving in the depth of the sea and swimming on the surface as well.
It is the first natural reserve in the Red Sea, and it is one of the most important natural habitats for seagulls, and there were old statistics that confirmed that it was inhabited by about 50% of seagulls in the world. It has a ridge 119 meters above sea level, with coral reefs and a plateau of coral rocks.
Sahl Hasheesh
Sahl Hasheesh is located approximately 25 km south of Hurghada on the Red Sea coast. It is one of the latest tourism projects that have been established recently on the shores of the Red Sea, and it includes distinctive tourist resorts.
It has soft sand and clear water, and diving can be practiced in Sahl Hasheesh, in addition to water games that are suitable for children, as well as the presence of an ancient underwater Pharaonic city that can be discovered while snorkeling.
El Gouna Resort
One of the most famous tourist attractions in Hurghada, which is famous for water sports and diving. It has Mangroovy Beach and Zaytouna Beach, with the water channels located throughout the resort, and therefore there is a private beach in front of each residential unit in the resort.
It is divided into about 6 neighborhoods that include commercial centers, shopping places, restaurants and clubs. El Gouna Resort has vast golf courses, a full-service hospital, in addition to a small airport for private planes, as well as a sophisticated digital library, a small museum, a marina, yacht club, spas and luxury hotels.
Hurghada Aquarium
The Hurghada Aquarium is the largest project of its kind in Egypt and Africa as a whole, and was opened in 2015. It contains more than 1,200 species of aquatic animals and fish, and a tunnel of about 24 meters in length that simulates the life of the seas, and gives the visitor the freedom to move.
It features 22 aquariums as well as a rainforest and garden with rare birds and animals and offers some exhibits of the excavations of the Western Desert.
Abu Minqar Island
Abu Minqar Island is one of the most important islands of the Red Sea, thanks to its richness in mangroves and coral reefs. It provides various water activities such as water games, diving, fishing and other fun activities. It is characterized by a density of rocks and natural geological formations.
The name of the island came from the shape of the eastern end of it, which comes in the form of a sandy tongue resembling a bird's beak. The island is home to large numbers of mangroves and water dolphins, as well as rare migratory birds.
Magawish Island
The island is located 7.5 km southeast of Hurghada. It is classified as one of the largest islands in the Red Sea in terms of area, and includes water activities such as surfing, and its waters contain rare fish with distinctive and attractive colors. The beaches in the island have soft and white sand with a length of approximately 2 km and the waves are calm and quiet and very suitable to a day of relaxation.
Sand Museum
The Sand Museum is one of the most important museums in the world, thanks to its ancient and modern sand sculptures, as it includes about 42 statues of famous personalities from inside and outside Egypt, designed by the most skilled artists.
Many of the most famous historical figures can be found sculpted in the museum, such as Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, Cleopatra and the Sphinx, as well as contemporary cartoon characters such as Batman.
