Itinerary

Egypt Day Tours‘ guide and manager will be waiting for you outside the Cruise docking spot. They will be holding a sign showing your name. It will be quite easy for you to identify them. Then you will proceed to your vehicle and start your tour. Your guide will talk to you not only about the history of Ancient Egypt, but also about modern Egypt, Life, religion, politics, and all aspects of Life in the country.

Start your Alexandria Day Excursion with a visit to the Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa. It is a very large Roman cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Where you will see elements of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman Culture. You will also drive by Pompey’s Pillar and stop for a photo stop, (it was constructed in honor of Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century).

Then you will visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria with the attached display of sunken monuments of Alexandria. Afterward, visit the library of Alexandria Alexandria, which is considered one of the ancient libraries in the whole world. You will visit the library’s famous Manuscripts Museum, President Sadat Museum, and impressions of Alexandria Museum.

P.S.: Alexandria Library is closed on every public holiday and every Friday. To enter the reading area you will need to purchase a ticket. Drive to Montaza Royal Palace in Montaza Garden you will visit the royal gardens of King Farouk (the last king in the history of Egypt) and see the royal palaces of Haramlek and Salamlek as well as walk along the famous Montaza bridge and reach the Tea Palace island and see the royal beaches of the queens. Later you will visit the ancient church of St. Mark, Abu Elabbass’s famous mosque of Alexandria as well as the old downtown and the local historical architecture which has baroque style designs and Italian and French style properties.

Before heading back to port, you will have a chance to see the old harbor and the old fishing boats, men fishing, and traditional fishermen making nets. The photos taken here are amazing.
Finally, head back to Alexandria Port to Board your cruise.

Tipping

Tipping is not included in any of our packages and is left to the discretion of the travelers. Although not mandatory, it is of great importance to people who will take care of you while traveling.

Children Policy

  • 0 – 01.99 Free of Charge (unless flights were included)
  • 2 – 5.99 pay 25% of the tour price and 50% of the tour price if it includes flights or sleeper train
  • 6 – 11.99 pay 50% of the tour price
  • 12+ pay full tour price as per adult person

If your tour package includes airfare, an extra charge for your children may apply.

Cancellation Policy

Ibis Egypt tours do not require a cancellation fee for tours or excursions canceled for ‘force majeure’ reasons like volcanoes, earthquakes, or reasons that are Out of control. If the booking cancellation happens For personal or business reasons and Ibis Egypt Tours has already incurred the booking costs on your behalf, these costs will be transferred to you.

  • The whole amount will be charged if canceled less than 30 days before the check-in date.
  • 50% of the whole amount will be charged if canceled 60 to 31 days before the check-in date.
  • 15% of the whole amount will be charged if canceled 90 to 61 days before the check-in date.

Deposit and Payment

A 50% payment will be required from the total amount after confirming your tour booking as requested. You can pay by credit or debit card (MasterCard/Visa) through the VeriSign Secured payment system on our website, and the Rest of the Payment will be on a Cash basis upon you Start Your Tour to the Ibis Egypt Tours representative.

Extra Expenses & Additional Entry Tickets

All tours don’t include entrance fees to special archaeological sites, such as walking inside one of the pyramids and the Mummies Room at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo or entering the Tomb of Tutankhamen at Valley of the Kings in Luxor are also available at extra cost.
